the theory about six degress of separation definitely comes into effect when discussing my connection to surfing. the closest i've ever come to surfing is having close friends who take part in the activity once or twice a day. but, even if one has never experienced the adrenaline rush when riding a "swell" they can still appreciate the art that is of dustin humphrey. his innovative photography is captivating on so many levels. it really can't be described...just shown.

i fell in love with the most cordial and sociable city in the union.

my sincerest apologies. i have not been in contact with the blogworld, because i have moved. i recently have been able to call "the most cordial" city, my home. mark twain really did say it best. so, now that i've settled in and applied for jobs..i am ready to start posting again. i've truly missed it.

this editorial from the june '09 issue of vogue uk leaves me absolutely speechless. one of my favourite models and one of my favourite animals shot together in the beautiful setting leaves me enamored. i'm quite delighted that summer is approaching.

soko's ability to make her music blunt and cute is quite the task. her all-too-honest lyrics are somewhat downplayed by her childish way of speaking. this way, she can perfectly disguise the lyrics that could be easily offensive if anyone else were to sing them. when first viewing these photos i couldn't help but feel completely captivated. soko, in the natural scenery caught in black and white, looks like a young girl playing dress-up on her grandparents' property.

litter, based out of san francisco has the most beautifully battered pieces that i never knew i wanted until now. they have the material to literally adorn a body from head to toe. headpieces, earcuffs, body harnesses and even jewelry for shoes. links and chains seem to be their specialty and that is more than fine with me, since i can't stop admiring each and every piece from the collection. as many items sold out, just as many new items appear. keep a look out...

running from the blind is not easy.

tis' a sin to covet, but i can not keep from lusting after these two items. that ring and those boots are exactly what i need for my wardrobe. i am making a promise to myself that when i travel to new york again..i will visit, bess. and i will also buy many beautiful pieces from, lia sophia.

song of the week.

the scottish trio, frightened rabbit once toured with death cab for cutie. if that isn't proof to just how great this band is, then taking a listen might be of more help. the opening lyrics to "head rolls off" is so powerful, but is downplayed later in the video showing a class of young children dancing around. this music video is so amaturely joyful in the best possible way.

ever since the last post i have been unbelievably busy. i apologize for my lack of activity, but maybe i can make it up to you lovelies by showing you these incredible shoes. "red by wolves" collections seems to place me in a coveting state as the seasons go by. i couldn't possibly settle for just one pair.
