litter, based out of san francisco has the most beautifully battered pieces that i never knew i wanted until now. they have the material to literally adorn a body from head to toe. headpieces, earcuffs, body harnesses and even jewelry for shoes. links and chains seem to be their specialty and that is more than fine with me, since i can't stop admiring each and every piece from the collection. as many items sold out, just as many new items appear. keep a look out...

tis' a sin to covet, but i can not keep from lusting after these two items. that ring and those boots are exactly what i need for my wardrobe. i am making a promise to myself that when i travel to new york again..i will visit, bess. and i will also buy many beautiful pieces from, lia sophia.

the scottish trio, frightened rabbit once toured with death cab for cutie. if that isn't proof to just how great this band is, then taking a listen might be of more help. the opening lyrics to "head rolls off" is so powerful, but is downplayed later in the video showing a class of young children dancing around. this music video is so amaturely joyful in the best possible way.

i really enjoy spring and autumn. i don't like the extreme weather that summer and winter have to offer.

hm, i have been waking up fairly early. between 7 and 8, depending on what i have to do.

probably getting the proper amount of sleep.

have a dreamy sunday....

at a loss for moss.

kate moss being one of my favourite models and ryan mcginley being one of my favourite photographers, it's no wonder that i find these photos to be just near perfection. they're all so dreamy, yet entirely natural. this most definitely has to be one of of my favourite. i really can't explain it in words, but i do believe that the photos speak for themselves.

and if you enjoy this little number by ryan mcginley, i highly suggest that you stop by his website (shown below the photos) ; and listen to sigur ros,'gobbledigook while you view. i posted the video awhile back, and the whole cinematography screams ryan mcginley, i absolutely love it. he does much nude photography, but it is all incredibly tasteful. i'm not sure what my fascination is with nude photography, but i feel that if it is tastefully shot then it could be wonderfully beautiful.

i've just discovered a little piece that i wrote almost three years ago. it was towards the end of the summer after i graduated from highschool that i started to find myself and change for the better. i went through a certain situation that i don't remember in detail, but it impacted me enough to put my thoughts in writing. hopefully, it can be of some inspiration to others...


'why is it that when something bad happens you overcome it, but then a little while later something rains on your parade? i believe that overcoming something is only half of the battle, the rest of the battle is staying on that same road and trying to stay content.

at times you may not feel like you can live up to a certain person or what others may want you to be. in your mind there is that one person who will always be more interesting or more extreme than you are. and when you think about it, you wonder why you can't just let that not bother you; but it does. you're afraid that a person will see that other someone as something "just a little bit better." so you worry, and at the end of the day there is absolutely nothing you can do about it.

so why keep on thinking about something or someone that you can't live up to? but the thing is why do you think that you can't live up to them? sure, they are a bit more exciting in ways that you are not..but you have qualities that they will never aquire. all in all, you have to think about yourself and never let someone's supposed thoughts change who you are.

if they find that person to be just "a bit more better than you," who cares. there are others who will see your qualities. and if it is not now, it'll be later. when you think about who you are just know that you will compromise, but you will never compromise yourself.'

song of the week.

i can listen to, the shins for many consistent hours. "saint simon" makes me feel as if i could joyfully step to this tune. the video was shot in mexico during the mating season of monarch butterflies, which explains the blankets that make up of these little flying creatures. i find it fascinating to see this many butterflies in their natural habit, rather than seeing them in a small covered area.

this is quite an elegant editorial from the ny times. with it's soft, blurred focus and washed out pastels this editorial seems more like a series of watercolors than actual photos.
