oh, abbey lee i wasn't so sure about you at first. but, now i have grown ever so fond of you. i imagine little miss abbey as the sweetest girl in the world...unless, you cross her in the wrong way, because then you might just be sorry you did.
as of late, this editorial from the fall 2009 issue of i-D has become one of my absolute favourites. model, anna selezneva is strictly stunning as is the styling. sarah richardson did a phenomenal job of overwhelming us with layers upon layers of garments and accessories. makes me want to strut around in a warrior helmet on a gloomy afternoon.
the highly anticipated vanessa bruno short film, featuring lou doillon is available for viewing on http://www.vanessabruno.com/. the stills above are just a peek at the dreamy sequence.
"she said she usually cried at least once each day not because she was sad, but because the world was so beautiful and life was so short." -brian andreas
i'd like to make a wishlist; starting with a pair of these action boots. it's almost impossible to believe that nine west could imagine, let alone produce something such as this. anyhow, i give them praise.
dash snow, controversial photographer from new york, has died at the age of 27. snow is known for his unique way of exposing the lifestyles involving sex, drugs and violence through the lens of a polaroid. he's exhibited in galleries/museums in los angeles, new york and europe. my thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. may he rest in peace.
the theory about six degress of separation definitely comes into effect when discussing my connection to surfing. the closest i've ever come to surfing is having close friends who take part in the activity once or twice a day. but, even if one has never experienced the adrenaline rush when riding a "swell" they can still appreciate the art that is of dustin humphrey. his innovative photography is captivating on so many levels. it really can't be described...just shown.
my sincerest apologies. i have not been in contact with the blogworld, because i have moved. i recently have been able to call "the most cordial" city, my home. mark twain really did say it best. so, now that i've settled in and applied for jobs..i am ready to start posting again. i've truly missed it.
daria werbowy, photographer: patrick demarchelier this editorial from the june '09 issue of vogue uk leaves me absolutely speechless. one of my favourite models and one of my favourite animals shot together in the beautiful setting leaves me enamored. i'm quite delighted that summer is approaching.
